As we move into May we will begin by showcasing our 3rd 'Success Story' since the start of the HNT blog! We have many success stories at HNT and thought it would be nice to share one each month to encourage and motivate the readers.

Shirley started with HNT 30 weeks ago. Before HNT she had successfully been able to lose 15 pounds and during her 30 weeks she has managed to lose another 40 pounds! She has lost a total of 55 pounds since she started her weight loss journey. Shirley says, "faith in God and myself to get this done. Mind management (the don't quit attitude) is the only way to win! It's taken 10 good years to get up the gumption. I have slowly gained over this peroid of time to 212 pounds, my highest weight in January 2008. "

"I had control of my weight for several years after dropping down to my normal weight using another program. This lasted several years and then I got complacent. I choose to work on my health and weight management because I needed to regain some control over my health. High blood pressure, sleep apnea, high cholesterol, and migraines were out of control! I also want very much to see my youngest grandchild, Cayden who is four, grow into a young man."
Shirley's favorite parts about HNT include, "surprisingly, the group sessions. I am not a joiner, ever! These people are smart, funny, and very honest. Secondly, the meal replacement. What a blessing to have the choice to pick proper nutrition! The skills that I implement everyday into my lifestyle that I learned from HNT are record keeping, weighing/measuring food, daily menu planning. The biggest lifestyle change that I made from the old me would have to be MOVING! Doing Zumba and other exercises!"

"Sheila's no-nonsense approach and direct application of the truth in eating properly is one of the many things that I like about the program. She has been part of the reason for my continuation! My weight loss and the safety I feel in class are other reasons why I continue with my journey at HNT."

Shirley is very excited to say that her biggest rewards from improving her health include, "reduction and elimination of medication, C-PAP, comfort in my clothing, and being able to move...really move!" She wants everyone who reads this to know that, "It can be done. You MUST have 100% midset that you're ready. Now, I dont know how to explain the concent, but if you are not committed, don't start. HNT has made me look younger (I hope!), I feel younger, I can move with my grandchildren, I have more stamina, self-esteem and all the wonderful health improvements."
